Subject: Oil price at their current price
Mailed-by: gmail.com
I am very surprised by the current Oil prices, and I am shocked that we are not at least over $100 per barrel. The fact that the prices of Oil are dropping during the Gulf coast spill to me is even more of a disappointment and should reflect the cost to the environment {should being my opinion} I am one who hopes for higher prices on the grounds that I am in Oil {HOU.UN} more than that higher prices are a benefit to change. I try to do my best to not drive and believe that maybe only the rich should drive. The price of Oil in my mind is going to fly in the next few months due to a political move somewhere in the world; but this is only hopeful thinking. My mind was changed forever after spending four months in China, the Chinese are nuts about the car to the point of ignoring self preservation .I love Shanghai, but find that if the Chinese do not reduce their dependence on driving ,is it not a form of self induced suicide? Or is it negligence of the government? No matter what people say about Oil now as an investment, I cannot resist as it was $145 not that long ago and time moves quickly and when it does decide to move up again it is really going to move. I am not coin: in it at the moment on Oil. But I see money at a later date, when I might need the money for another issue,"for now I do not, and think it is going to rise just as fast as it has fallen back”. I am better of two months early then one day late getting in.
My question to you
Do you believe that Iran and the Middle East can affect the price in a sudden way!
The fact that the consumer is more aware of the industry issues, if the price where to climb to $145 would they be more accepting of the price and would this be a blessing to the industry to raise the price. Would there be more acceptances from the consumer.
Am I nuts! to believe that what I see in China can not possible carry on without having long term problems for all countries and people on this planet.
Have you been to China and have you seen, firsthand the problems facing that country?
Thank you

When I Questioned that it seemed almost a form of suicide for the Chinese including the rest of the world for that matter to continue with what appears to be blind ignorance regarding oil consumption on the planet that was in 2009 and since that time period 13 years ago oil consumption has sky rocketed ...Wow!
You know that young Environmentalist {Greta} that sails around the world trying to draw attention to the worlds climate emergency ....She is correct in her assumption that human procrastination in pushing the problem forever down the road is a good observation on her part.

Some of the world's biggest economies are seeing oil consumption turn the corner and even surpass pre-pandemic levels as falling coronavirus infection rates drive a recovery in activity.
Oil demand in China, the world's top energy consumer, will be 13% higher next quarter than in the same period in 2019 before the pandemic, according to SIA Energy. Indian fuel sales extended a rebound last month, while American consumption of petroleum products just hit a record high. Europe also has just had its best August for gasoline demand in 10 years, IHS Markit said.
