I believe that for those Canadians who have tried; in the past to distance themselves from the states; with the attitude being; that they are the states ;and we are Canada are in for a rude awakening; besides heath care; {and even there I am not to sure?} there is no difference. If you travel or have spent time in Calgary; or other major Canadian cities; you will see similarities between the countries. In the New York Times ; today's paper has a article on the foreclosure issues facing Cleavland;and America as a whole. I do not think that it is a Problem; even the poor in Canada and the states; have it good. There is no reason people have to complain; it was self induced. Think globally?; and try and have a better perspective on what truly is poor.

It would seem now in 2025 that the stated goal of Donald Trump to annex Canada allowing Canada to join the states would seem all inclusive that perpetuates the similarities between countries .
As those that try and gain financially off the backs of American consumerism while decrying any other similarities while actually trying to distance themselves from the United States are more than likely going to capitulate to the idea out of desperation of not being able to carry their current debt load without total financial destruction .
